An iPad app that solves handwritten mathematical expressions
GridPaper understands operators, fractions, brackets, indices and constants like pi and e. It can also solve equations. To solve for an unknown use x in your expression, or just leave a gap.
- Use one finger to draw on the grid. GridPaper works as you draw, writing it’s analysis underneath.
- Use two fingers to zoom and move the grid.
- Touch the x in the top left corner to clear the screen.
- To erase just a line, double-strike it out without lifting your finger, like in the graphic on the right.
- Touch an expression’s tag for more information and options. You can copy or email an expression in various forms.
- Touching the tag also bookmarks the expression in the top bar. You can drag bookmarks to the grid to reuse them.
